Please submit your questions at any time. One question will be answered every month. "Just curious to know, what was the defining moment
in your life, that made you decide stunting was your future? Was there ever a time when
fear became an issue for you, or made you second guess how far you would be willing
to go? if so when, why.... Thanks" A moment to remember was the 1st time I crashed my 954. It was early in 2002 during the
World SRC in Tulsa, OK, thats when I crashed the $10,000 motorcycle. I showed up to Tulsa
with a lil over 500 miles on the bike! It was blingin, still had that show room shine.
All the other bikes around were beat to hell and covered with fur! I crashed the 954 during
the 2nd day of the event trying to do scrape my tail section. Midway though the day, I was
getting closer to hitting the tail, then wamm bamm, the bike swopped real hard and I lost it!
It crashed on both sides, scratched all the plastics, only thing that was good was the tank.
Thank god for my helmet cause when I wrecked, my head slammed into the pavement! I was very
pissed at the time, my bike was crashed. Now I look back at it as a start of my career!
Didnt turn it into insurance like most people do, I fixed my own mistake, replaced the parts
and now ride the bike as hard as I want! I wouldn't necessarily say there was a defining moment that made me decide to be a stunt rider....i think it evolved over time and became a part of my daily activities slowly..... depending on the type of crowd you run with and the outlook you have on life, i think will determine your path....fear has always been an issue, i think if there's no sense of fear in what you do, then there's no excitement or gratification as a result of conquering a particular move or making it through a day of riding.....i would venture to say, if you ever stop fearing what you do, than that would be a good time to rethink what your doing.....i think stunt riding is just an extension of your personality... some people get into it because they watch a video and think its cool, others do it because there friends do it, but then there's those who do just because "your not suppose to" (if that makes sense)..... the thing that drives me, is the fact that it has such a "rebellious" sense to it, and im rebellious in personality.... so it gratifies me to do these things.....these bikes are not designed to do what we do on them, and we totally destroy them..... its an addiction to a certain extent.......if you do get into this sport, take your time, be patient, and if its really in you, it will come.... --Adam, Streetfighterz i still dont look at it as a career i look at it as a hobby that pays some money every now and again i ride because i like to ride not to make money and no i never got scared for any reason and ill go to the end and back --Digidy, PureBredRiders |
